Duncan says private property legislation coming next year, but department not so sure

We start tonight in Nova Scotia where the minister of Aboriginal Affairs confirmed that on-reserve private property legislation is coming.

The legislation would allow people on reserves to own the land where they live.

Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan confirmed the legislation is on the way during a stop in Eskasoni.

But it seems Duncan’s department isn’t convinced.
