Chiefs running Dakota Chundee Smoke Shop in court facing charges

In Manitoba, over the past several months, authorities have been playing a cat and mouse game with members of the Dakota Nation.

All over attempts to shut down an unlicensed smokeshop.

Dakota leaders say their fight is about treaties and sovereignty.

And as APTN’s Meagan Fiddler shows us, those arguments have now headed to court.
