Stalemate continues at Gitxsan treaty office

They claim the Gitxsan Treaty Society is illegal and have not let anybody inside the building since last December.

This is despite an injunction that allows the RCMP to remove a protest camp.

As APTN National News reporter Tina House finds out, treaty negotiators renewed a call to have protestors fined or taken away and jailed.

    Those of us supporting the Gitxsan Unity Movement had hopes of some fair reporting from this source.  Sad to say I’m disappointed once again; just like with the televised interviews.  I guess the pay is better from those who are backed by the government

    Why do you keep telling the one side of the story and not the truth of whats happening the gitxsan unity movement has try mulitble time to negociate with the gts and they refused to meet or ingage in any conversation there are 91 hereditory chiefs and all the highest chiefs  that have said they do not give the gts the right to negociate for there houses and the gts refuses to listen as they have taken over 19 million in bribes that they dont want to pay back I understand all your funding for aptn comes from the government but to sell out the first nations that you are suppost to be the voice for is damaging to all
