Extension refused for missing women inquiry

APTN National News
The Missing Women Commission of Inquiry has been delayed for three weeks while commissioner Wally Oppal searches for a new lawyer to represent the interests of aboriginal people, following Robyn Gervais’s high-profile resignation last week.

But despite the delay, the B.C. government has told the inquiry that it will not receive an extension.

Hearings are scheduled to conclude in April, with the final report due on June 30th.
