First Nations leaders say a deadly plane crash on a First Nation highlights the need for modern aviation tools in remote communities.

On Tuesday, four people were killed when a Keystone Air charter flight crashed at North Spirit Lake reserve in northern Ontario.

The plane was trying to land in a blizzard and the crash killed four of the five people onboard.

Grand Chief Stan Beardy, who represents dozens of First Nations in northern Ontario, says the issue needs to be immediately changed to avoid more deaths.
