For nearly 40 years the Friendship Centre of Montreal has provided services to the urban Aboriginal population in the city.

That means the centre now doesn’t have access to thousands of dollars in funding.

The centre says the decision was political.

  1. To cut any funding is nonsense but I am curiousu00a0 as to who they are not providing services to. My understanding is that all aboriginals are welcome. Can anyone explain what is being referred to?

Worse off is no explanation? You don’t cut funding to an organization designed to empower it’s people through programs and services and then say “Well, we will look into it”nnPolitics have no place in the well being and future of an entire culture and its populace.

  3. Always Political and always Cut backs on the Wrong Organizations here in Canada! Canada always thinks they know best for Our First Nation/Inuits people of Turtle Island..u00a0
