The Pickton inquiry continued to hear from Vancouver deputy police chief Doug Lepard who has blamed the RCMP for mishandling the investigation into missing women from the city’s Downtown Eastside.

Lorelie Williams has been in the courtroom every day. Her aunt Belinda Williams went missing from the Downtown Eastside in 1978. Her cousin Tanya Holyck went missing in 1996 and some of her remains were later found on serial killer Robert Pickton’s property.

Holyck’s name was added to the 20 additional charges against Pickton that were later stayed.

Lorelei Williams says the blame game that seems to be taking place between the Vancouver police and the RCMP is not doing anyone any good.
