On Thursday she took part in Ryerson University’s Indigenous women’s trailblazers lecture series.
This year’s lecture series will feature a line-up of Indigenous women leaders in their field, from politicians to CEOs.
McKenzie is the host and producer of APTN’s InFocus.
McKenzie spoke to a group of about 100 people on the topic of broadcasting and the importance of getting Aboriginal stories out there.
