A new proposal to save the credibility of B.C.’s missing women’s inquiry is being roundly rejected.

The B.C. government is refusing to fund legal fees for many of the groups who hope to testify.

That’s led several prominent organizations to say they can’t participate.

Commissioner Wally Oppal, however, has promised to provide four lawyers to meet their needs.
