Survivors centre fighting for survival

The Committee on Abuse in Residential Schools, or CAIRS, runs a drop-in centre in Whitehorse for residential school survivors.

After funding from the Aboriginal Healing Foundation ended last year, it is now fighting to keep it’s doors open.
