Ontario First Nations believe the Conservative government is ignoring their voices on First Nations education and they are warning of a nation-wide shut-down unless things change.
“If these Conservatives continue their racist, racist agenda, we are going to have a fight on our hands,” said Anishinabek Nation Grand Chief Patrick Mahdabee. “They are not going to beat us. We’ll shut this darn country down.”
On Monday, Hwy. 17, which connects northern and southern Ontario, was shut down in a rally for education.

Most politicians and, as far as that goes, most canadians, tend to plead ignorance as a defence for the inexcusable treatment of the indian people of this country. One should keep in mind that ignorance is not acceptable in law as a defence, even in the case of a violated local ordinance, nor is it acceptable in internal courts passing judgement on crimes against humanity. However, even more reprehensible than the man who does not act because his is ignorant is the man who does know the situation but fails to act. I am talking about a human being who does not have the courage to try to change an unjust situation.(The Unjust Society, pg.6)
There is no justice until the canadian government is brought before the world court system on charges of crimes against humanity and genocide.
education is a treaty right but under the indian act the indian losses those rights. the indian act is a racist policy that allows the federal government ownships of indian people and indian lands this is a policy that allows the present individual Canadian the right to own slaves. The indian leaders in their intelligents understand these policies but allows this type of tyranny to operate. shame on all forms of governments indian or non indian that allow man made poverty to continue.
