There has been anger and there have been tears as the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls travels the country. Survivors and families have shared stories of horror and pain, racism and fear, and emotional accusations of police disinterest.

So far commissioners have visited eight communities. They are more than half-way through their two-year mandate that ends in September 2018.

APTN News has carried the proceedings live and archived its coverage here where you can watch past hearings and read stories from our reporters in the field.
