For the first time an Inuk is in charge of deciding what Inuit art is

For 60 years, whenever you saw the Igloo tag on a piece of art, you knew that art was authentically Inuit.

In 2017 the government gave control of the tag to the Inuit Art Foundation based in Toronto.

And now one Inuit owned business is qualified to say – this art is Inuk.

All of us at Carvings Nunavut are very proud to represent the Inuit culture. This is more than just selling that special piece of art, it’s a true honour to help Inuit share the culture and make money to provide for there families. Lori is a great ambassador. We all thank you for believing in this and providing a platform for so many Inuit. The online gallery http://www.carvingsnunavut.com also gives the world access to authentic Inuit art. Having the Iconic Igloo Tag is great and well deserved. Thank you for recognizing this Kent
