A fire burning in northern Manitoba has forced the evacuation of the Marcel Colomb First Nation.

The community sits more than a 1,000 km northwest of Winnipeg.

Another community near the Ontario Manitoba border got some very different news.

About 450 members of the Paungassi First Nation were allowed to go home after being away for a month because of fires.
