National News In B.C. not everyone is applauding the proposed federal ban on tanker traffic off the coast By Tina House May 09, 2018 APTN News On Tuesday night, the House of Commons passed Bill C-48 which bans tankers that carry more than 12,500 metric tons of oil from the northern tip of Vancouver Island to Alaska. The bill now goes to the Senate. But not everyone is happy about the ban.
