Four people in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside are recovering after being attacked by a man went on a slashing attack.
The Eastside has a bad reputation for crime and drug use.
One of the victims says in spite of the attack, he wants people to know he feels safe in his community.
And he hopes his attacker gets the help he needs.
