Treaty annuity case livestreamed from Sudbury

APTN News
In 1850 Anishinabek leaders and the British Crown signed the Robinson Huron Treaty.

It stipulated an annual annuity of four dollars.

But it also promised that if revenues increased so would the annuity.

That never happened so nearly two dozen First Nations brought the case to court in 2014.

It has been heard in Ontario Superior Court since September with the First Nations presenting their case.
