We all really need to look deeply into the effects of intergenerational trauma. The families need healing not just the individual. There needs to be more immediate programming and family support for when they are released to prevent recidivism; it’s a vicious cycle. Until this is addressed future generations of families will harbour theses effects. It’s paramount the Truth and Reconciliation piece promotes a narrative of healing and understanding. Please, we need to all build up our youth today and make this 7th generation PROUD to be Indigenous to this land to finally end these stats. We all will be able to prosper and grow together in ways this world has never seen before to create & build a stronger, healthier, more educated powerful voices. In turn it will help us all join together with our Ancestors knowledge and teachings to save and balance our Mother Earth at the same time. If we continue to mess it up at this rate non of this week matter now will it?!
