The second round of baseball games began Tuesday morning at the North American Indigenous Games.

And the first game of the day was a nail biter.

In the end, Team Eastern Door defeating Team Saskatchewan by just a run.

Playing in that game was an athlete who is breaking through barriers to play the sport he loves.

It’s awesome to see young indigenous atheletes out there not letting their hearing impairment get in the way. I myself am a mother to a 8 yr old boy that is deaf. This hasn’t stopped him from the sports he loves, hockey is his main love but he’s actively involved in soccer, and baseball as well 🙂 stories like this gives us more hope for the future, WAY TO GO! And good luck!!
