Thunder Bay city council approves plan in wake of inquest recommendations

It’s been a year since a coroner’s jury wrote dozens of recommendations on how to prevent student deaths in Thunder Bay, city council is approving a plan to make it happen.

It’s been a year since a coroner’s jury wrote 145 recommendations to the federal, provincial and city governments on how to prevent student deaths in Thunder Bay, city council is approving a plan to make it happen.

The inquest looked into the deaths of seven First Nations students who were in Thunder Bay for school.

Many of them died under suspicious circumstances.
