I will repeat a comment I just made on the Facebook page. Why did APTN not cover the walk today that called for healing, unity and co-operation? Why is APTN not talking about the First Nations leaders who are calling for co-operation with the city and the police force to solve this problem? Why is APTN taking such a confrontational approach to this story rather than a problem-solving approach? Why is the focus only on blame and not on how to fix this problem and keep people safe? How does that approach help anything? How is that serving the community? It certainly isn’t simply about reporting the news or these other stories would be here as well.

    1. Hi Bev, thanks for writing. APTN was at the walk Thursday night and will have a story online today.

      1. I am also looking for the story on the walk that was held. Has it been published yet?

    2. Racism is real and it is in our cities. Those who practice these behaviours choose not to see it. Blind eyes are the problem. Trying to work with the systems that be are killings is! We are saying this has to stop! The powers that be want us to stop asserting our rights so these terrible event are happening. Vigilante? Police? System? Resistance to change ! They need to maintain the dirty Indian mentality . It is embedded in the minds of many. Look. Listen! See! First Nation people will not go away! Change will happen! Too many have died for this cause already! Let’s talk about the real problem!
