Thunder Bay police say Tammy Keeash drowned – community holds vigil to remember her

The Thunder Bay police say Tammy Keeash drowned in one of the city’s floodways and at this point, no foul play is suspected.

Keeash was reported missing during the afternoon of Sunday, May 7 – her body was discovered later that evening.

She is the fourth child in care to die while in care of the province of Ontario since October.

And is also the sixth young person to be found dead in a Thunder Bay river since 2000.

On Thursday night, family and friends held a vigil to remember her.

    Yes she did but who drowned her?? Why is Thunder Bay the only city with a river of death??

    Exactly who drowned her! You know Thunder Bay seems to be the only place I know of that doesn’t investigate thouroughly when there is a freak accident causing death! Especially when u are a certain colour? Now if that was to happen to another young old or whatever upper class white person im sure they would be putting more effort into their job? I’m not saying every police officer is discriminative. Im saying there is more hateful ppl than positive that’s all!

      Sadly, after watching a show on how Thunder Bay police investigate deaths, they imo are quite a disgrace. It’s time to show some respect and professionalism by doing your jobs properly. Where, when and why did the pride stop???
