Searchers find a boat, but not 4 hunters, in Wood Buffalo National Park in Alberta.

A search is underway for four hunters in northeastern Alberta.

Fort Chipewyan RCMP say the men left Fort Chipewyan on Sunday night via boat on the Roche River.

The men were heading to an area known as Devil’s Gate near Fort Chipewyan.

When they hadn’t returned on Monday afternoon, police were called.

Parks Canada and RCMP started searching the river in the area and have located the boat.

Search and rescue teams are looking for the men, along with two helicopters and approximately 30 boats from the community, which can be reached only by air or boat in the summer and by ice road in the winter.
