A safe place for First Nations students to live while attending high school in Thunder Bay has long been a concern.

A student residence was a recommendation from a recent inquest looking into the deaths of seven First Nations students in the city.

Students there took matters into their own hands recently to finally have that safe place.

  1. Natalie says:

Is there a way to donate money to them?

  2. I feel like a failure when I read of these situations. This country has failed so miserably at being inclusive. Despite all the rhetoric such as inclusive blah blah blah, this is definitely not the reality for many hundreds thousands of citizens, I applaud these young people for doing this, Sadly, because they have had to.
