Iqaluit resident applauds new transgender protection

Nunavut has just passed an amendment to its human rights act giving transgender people greater protection.

APTN spoke to one of the major motivations for this amendments, an Iqaluit resident who now feels better protected at home.

“I feel more like a citizen of Nunavut,” said Kieran Drachenberg of the amendment.
