New police watchdog agency in Quebec criticized for lack of diversity

The bureau finally opened this week after three years of delays, but some say they’re already disappointed

After three years of delays, Quebec’s independent investigation unit was finally opened on June 27.

From now on, the bureau will investigate shootings, serious injuries and deaths stemming from police interventions.

But the brand new bureau is already under fire.
