Group behind Indigenous-branded diabetes device aims to get back on track after spending controversy

Six people from the product’s investment group were fired over questionable spending accusations last year, but its president says he now hopes to get back to the original goal of helping Indigenous communities

Diabetes rates in Indigenous communities are three to five times higher than in non-Indigenous communities.

Now, a unique device will help Indigenous people measure their blood glucose levels.

The aim is to help monitor and control diabetes.
