The inequality Indigenous youth face was the focus of the testimony at the inquest looking into the circumstances around how seven First Nation students died while in Thunder Bay.

Wednesday, First nations child advocate Cindy Blackstock weighed in on the issue while testifying at the inquest.

The seven students were all from remote First Nations in northwestern Ontario.

They had to move to Thunder Bay to continue their education.
