Deadly shooting in Algonquin community of Lac Simon has community in shock

The Algonquin community of Lac Simon, Que., is in shock after a man opened fire on a police officer and then killed himself.
On Saturday night, police were called to a domesitic disturbance call at a residence in the community 500 kilometres north of Montreal.
As officers approached the house, shots were fired and Constable Thierry LeRoux, 26, was killed according to a a release from the Sûreté du Québec.
The release goes on to say the alleged shooter, Joseph Anthony Raymond-Papatie, 22, killed himself.
According to Vice-Chief Pamela Papatie, the officer who was killed was not a member of the community but Papatie was.
The council is expected to meet Monday.
Crisis workers are also expected to arrive in the community to help members deal with the ordeal.
