But the body that oversees taxis has questions about the way the new service is operating called Neechi rides.

I support neechie rides!!! I hate duffys and unicity taxi they are so ignorant, one time a taxi guy asked me for an upfront payment of $40, I told him I know how much it would be, when I arrived to where I was going it was only a $17 dollars. I also had my daughter with me. Another time a taxi driver demanded another upfront payment, I used my credit card to pay and he made me pay an extra $10 and told me he’ll give it back, but when I looked at my statement it wasn’t their. Omg I wish they could do something about these people they are sick, start hiring woman??? Would that be a difference ? Scary encounters are happening to young girls, I’m the same age as Hailey Mckay & same thing happened to me also, I’m sure other kids also.

  2. Yes, he should be able to do what he has his heart set on to do! I’ve always been afraid of taxi drivers! If you’re new to area. They’ll take advantage of that and pretend to take you sightseeing, all the while with the meter running! I fear for all aboriginal ladies who’ve had to deal with those cabbies who’ve tried to rape them. And I’m even more afraid if their involved with “human trafficking”…

  3. Knew this would happen because if affects their wallets.
This guy is offering rides because he knows what goes on – it has for years.
Open your eyes cab companies… you know too. Sure going to miss those native dollars and native women to pick on aren’t you?
    Let’s support Nechi Rides.

  8. If he wants to give people rides he should be able to do what he wants with his car! Nobody can tell me who to give rides to in my car! I have been treated terrible by taxi drivers! Una Truscott

  9. It’s be nice if the taxi board were more concerned with their employees, whose actions are the reason for Neechi Rides in the first place.

Looking forward to seeing the Neechi Rides crowdsourcing page.
