Second suspicious death of woman in community within last two years

APTN National News
The God’s Lake First Nation in northern Manitoba is in mourning after the body of Krystal Andrews, 23, was found in the community.

Andrews was the mother of two children.

Her body was discovered after a ground search and the RCMP calls the death “suspicious.”

This is the second similar death to hit God’s Lake in recent years.

Leah Anderson, 15, was found murdered in the community in 2013.

Her murder remains unsolved.

Andrews’ mother, Beverly Andrews, said her daughter was close to her siblings.

“She’d always joke around with her sister Rebecca. They were very close. They’d always goof around, tell everything to each other,” said the mother. “She loved her brothers and her kids.”
