Sept. 26 was the last day of the crisis

Twenty-five years ago on Sept. 26, 78-day stand-off at Kanesatake came to an end.

And while the end of the 1990 uprising wasn’t exactly a victory for the Mohawks, it’s legacy still resounds.

Its influence on Indigenous resistance lasts to this day.
