Democratic hopeful Hilary Clinton says no to Keystone pipeline

EDMONTON — Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says she wasn’t expecting Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton to take the stance she has against the Keystone X-L pipeline.

The line would carry Alberta oil to Gulf Coast refineries in the U-S, but Clinton says she opposes the project because it’s not in the best interest of efforts to combat climate change.

Notley says Clinton’s stance doesn’t significantly affect her government, and she will continue to find a way to get a pipeline from Alberta to an ocean port.

Notley will be making stops in Toronto, Montreal and New York between September 27th and October 2nd to promote Alberta’s economic strengths and environmental initiatives.
