Members of First Nation in Yukon wants band to make financial records public

Canada is taking eight First Nations to court to force them to submit financial information.

It’s part of Canada’s First Nations Financial Transparency Act. It demands that chief and councils publicly disclose its financial information.

The move to take one Yukon first Nation to court has some members wondering why the information isn’t being shared with them.
