A former convict, drug addict and lost to the streets Andy Nieman can hold a captive audience.
Now armed with a degree in social work Nieman is trying to help First Nation inmates at the Whitehorse Correctional Centre.
“I’ve been in that system so they want to connect with me. I have an automatic connection with them. I know how they feel and what they think,” says Nieman.
