NWT, Nunavut in talks over transfer of Inuit artifacts

Before Nunavut separated from the Northwest Territories, all of their artifacts were kept at a museum in Yellowknife.

Now, 16 years later, more than 140,000 pieces are still there, but this arrangement can’t last forever.

Yellowknife is tired of holding on to them and Nunavut wants them back and the two sides are in talks to solve the issue.
