Canada’s proposed anti-terror legislation is heading to a Parliamentary committee next week. Ryerson professor Pam Palmater is one of the witness who will appear. Palmater tells Nation to Nation guest host Annette Francis what she thinks of C51.

One of the newest Liberal candidates is Winnipeg’s Robert-Falcon Ouelette. He talks to Annette about why the Liberals are supporting the anti-terrorism legislation and how he plans to beat incumbent Pat Martin of the NDP.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently announced that new mandatory minimum legislation is on the way for anyone committing first degree murder. It goes along with the other mandatory minimum laws the government has brought in already. But is the government casting the net too wide? Christa Big Canoe of the Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto says yes it is.

And APTN’s Kenneth Jackson broke the story of the Larmond twins applying for status. The two are currently in custody on terrorism related charges. Jackson tells us why the two converts to Islam are now applying for status.
