Ottawa’s Odawa drop-in centre closing

News that not only informs, but inspires.

APTN National News
A drop-in centre in Ottawa where country food is served for lunch and that acts as a cultural getaway for First Nations, Metis and Inuit homeless people is closing.

The government program which kept the centre open has changed its criteria.

While the city says Odawa’s clients will go elsewhere, other places do not provide the same culturally-sensitive services.

APTN’s Annette Francis has this story.
