The jury at the coroner’s inquest into the death of a Yukon woman says her death was a homicide.

Mary Johnny, 60,  was severely dehydrated when she was first admitted to the Watson Lake Hospital but her doctor thought she was going through alcohol withdrwal.

The jury found Johnny’s death was a homicide, which means it was human caused, but wasn’t anyone’s fault.

The jury found the cause of death to be “hypovolemic shock secondary to intravascular volume depletion and multi-organ failure.”
