The Mi’kmaq people in central Nova Scotia are skeptical of the province after it said it would closely monitor a company that is burying natural gas storage tanks.

The Mi’kmaq people in central Nova Scotia are skeptical of the province after it said it would closely monitor a company that is burying natural gas storage tanks.

Several groups are concerned that the Alton Gas Company’s tanks that will be bureied underground caverns will leak.

    We’re more worried about them dumping the brine than we are about gas leaks at this stage. This is the first I’ve heard about burried tanks!
