Yukon First Nation opposed Ottawa’s streamlining of environmental assessments

First Nations in the Yukon are against proposed changes to the territory’s Environmental Assessment Act and they showed their opposition to Bill S-6 in Ottawa last week.

They say the bill infringes on the spirit and intent of the Yukon land claim.
