Pair accused of killing Loretta Saunders heading to trial in April

The pair accused of killing Loretta Saunders are heading to trial April 20.

Blake Leggette and Victoria Henneberry are both charged with first-degree murder.

Saunders was killed last February. Her body was found along a New Brunswick highway.

She was from Labrador and went to university in Halifax.

Her honours thesis focused on missing and murdered Indigenous women.

Her family is expected to be at the trial that is scheduled to last four weeks.
