Reconciling the residential schools era

InFocus on APTN National News:

The legacy of Canada’s residential schools left it’s mark on the survivors – but also second and third generation survivors.

In this season finale, we’re putting efforts to reconcile the past InFocus.

APTN’s Cheryl McKenzie sits down with Theodore Fontaine, or Ted Fontaine, as most people know him.

He shares memories of his residential school era as he looks through some old photographs.

Ted was a close friend of Cheryl’s late father, Paul McKenzie.

Ted has wanted to see Paul’s old photographs for a long time.

Cheryl spoke with Ted in his home in Winnipeg.
