It’s a social media battle with some unlikely combatants.
American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has raised the ire of Inuit by supporting a group trying to stop seal hunting.
With a spin on DeGeneres’ record-breaking “selfie” picture at the Oscars pro-sealers have been posting their own “sealfie” in protest.

I just hope that APTN will do a full story on the level of verbal & lateral violence the Inuit are experiencing as a result of this.
The saddest thing about this is neither you APTN, nor Ellen Degeneres has recognized the difference between Inuit subsistence sealing and the destruction of European forms of sealing.
