Pictou Landing researches health effects of polluted harbor

APTN National News
The Mi’kmaq of Pictou Landing call Boat Harbour an example of environmental racism.

The harbor sits just behind the community and in the last 1960s, the Nova Scotia government let a paper mill dump its toxic waste water in it.

The First Nation has been living with it ever since.

A research group is using a unique approach to study the impacts.

APTN’s Trina Roache brings us this story.
