InFocus on APTN National News:

In this edition we put a growing resistance movement InFocus.

Clans within the Wet’suwet’en Nation have united and vowed to stop multiple pipeline projects from boring through their territory.

One of those clans, the Unist’ot’en, have set up camp right on the path of the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline.

Freda Huson and Hereditary Chief Toghestiy are part of the Unist’ot’en Camp and were in Winnipeg for a strategic meeting.

It involved people from other parts of the country who are opposing pipelines in thier regions.

Here now is our exclusive interview, on how one Nation in BC is protecting their land for future generations.

The video interview with Freda Huson and Chief Toghestiy touched my heart deeply. It’s so very sad what is happening to our world. All for greed. I have lived in Kitimat BC for 30 years originally from Whalley BC. I see the changes. Kitimat is being invaded as if an army is marching in .. The Douglas Channel is being misused.. The entire North has been chosen by the Government to traffic their poison. This beautiful place being raped over and over and over again .. I do voice my opinion out to the world as best I can. It is a desparate time. Peace.

  2. Very inspiring that they are trying to reclaim a traditional lifestyle as the foundation of their resistance. Amazing way to get organized!
