The federal government has been accused of violating the privacy of First Nation child welfare advocate Cindy Blackstock.

The alleged incidents of spying began after Blackstock filed a human rights complaint against the feds claiming they underfund child welfare.

Both parties have been battling it out at the Canadian human rights tribunal this week in Ottawa.
