Earlier this week Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Kathy Dunderdale officially announced that the Lower Churchill Hydro Electric Development would become a reality.
This surprised few as construction crews have been working at the site for months.
The announcement spurred a strong reaction by those opposed to the development.
