On the stand at the missing women’s inquiry Det.-Const. Lori Shenher recalled the racist attitude of some of her fellow officers at the Vancouver police department.

Shenher highlighted the actions of two officers in her unit that laughed and joked about pouring flour on a Vietnamese man and taunting him by saying he was “white” now.

Critics of the investigation have always believed racist and sexist attitudes hindered the investigation into serial killer Robert Pickton.

Over the past few weeks, testimony about those attitudes has come from Shenher and high profile police officer Kim Rossmo.

APTN National News reporter Rob Smith has this story.
