Tough for women in small First Nations communities to speak out about sex abuse: former victim

Silence over sexual abuse in the Northwest Territories has been a problem for decades.

But in the last year, two chiefs have been charged for sexual offences that took place decades ago.

As APTN National News reporter Cullen Crozier found out, women in the NWT are starting to say, “We’re not going to take it any more.”
